Hello. My name is Monica Harrison, my friends and Family call me “Mo”. I am the Fitness and Spa Membership Coordinator here at the Spa of the Pines. I am a certified personal trainer with a strong background in nutrition and overall fitness planning. Let me tell you how excited I am to be blogging on behalf of everyone here at Spa of the Pines!

Our Fitness center is exceptional in that it offers a wide variety of muscle toning tools coupled with top of the line trainers and state of the art Cardio equipment stations, each outfitted with individual flat screen TVs. There are cardio classes engaging in Step, Hi/Low impact Aerobics. We also have a circuit course with exceptional circuit training for those who need an efficient workout. Our fitness instructors are all nationally certified with specialties ranging from Nia to Tai Chi, Pilates and beyond.

As a personal Trainer myself, I take great pride in helping each of our members get into the very best possible shape of their lives. To help do so, Spa of the Pines offers body assessments and conditioning, nutritional counseling and an overall balanced living plan.

Starting the week of May 14th, we welcome world class Yoga instructor, Dr. Amy Wheeler, who will provide a comprehensive yoga program especially for our Spa of the Pines members and all resort guests. The goal for our Spa membership is to build a small and dedicated yoga community who will experience the highest quality of instruction right here on the mountain. The new yoga program will include 7-9 weekly yoga classes (one per day), a monthly workshop (usually on Friday nights) and a quarterly retreat (the first being over a weekend in October).

About our outdoor pool. It’s constantly heated to a welcoming 82 to 84 degrees for those who enjoy swimming year round. Speaking of making a splash, starting in June, water aerobics will begin with several weekly outdoor classes.

I think we have the COOLEST Spa yet! Picture this… after signing in you head to the Fitness Center for a great work out, afterward, you’ll no doubt want to ease those muscles so you head to the Jacuzzi where the temperature and jets will sooth and relax every muscle you just worked. From there you can step right into the steam room where the smell of delicious eucalyptus will surround you and open your pores to cleanse your entire body of unwanted impurities. Afterwards, go ahead; wrap yourself in a luxurious Kashwere robe and move on to our treatment rooms to enjoy an amazing, relaxing body massage or a soothing facial. Ah, I can feel my tensions just melting away while I’m writing about this!

Or better yet... take a journey! Yes, you read that right.... take a journey like no other, right here at the Spa. We provide three-hour journey experiences that are exclusive to the Spa of the Pines. Hmmm….bet you want to know more about that! Call us any time: 909-744-3000.

Our entire group invites you to come and workout, take a class, enjoy the treatments and above all, have fun. It is our personal goal to bring the best of the natural outside world into your world so come experience what life is like at the Spa of the Pines and let us change the way you view your exercise program and relaxation forever.

Remember too, we really are excited to hear all about your personal experiences at the Spa so let us know what’s on your mind. Blog us and we will get right back to you!
Until then my friends, stay well and be good to your self! Mo
